Setting up time tracking

freispace allows to track individual's time via a time clock widget or by manually entering entries in a form.

The activation of time tracking for a team member relies on two settings:

  • The team member must be linked to a staff.
  • The linked staff must have time tracking enabled.

Setting up time tracking for a user

  1. Go to the staff list.
  2. Search the list for a staff member corresponding to the team member.
    1. If a staff exists for the user already, click the Edit button.
    2. Otherwise, click Add staff and enrer the user's first and last name.
  3. Navigate to the Settings tab.
  4. Click Link to team member.
  5. Select the team member and confirm the selection by clicking Select.
  6. Still on the Settings tab, activate the option Time tracking.
  7. Save the staff.

Setting up admin access to time tracking reports

  1. Navigate to the team member list.
  2. Scroll down to the roles.
  3. Edit the corresponding role.
  4. In the Staff section, you may assign View working times and Edit working times for individual staff members or all of them. Viewing allows accessing and downloading a list view of entries, editing allows adding new records on a staff member's behalf.
  5. In the Analytics section, you may allow the Evaluation of working time recording
  6. Save the updated role.
